North Kingstown Schools Mold Free: School Will Open

Schools in the North Kingstown School District have been reported safe mold free and safe for school to open.

NORTH KINGSTOWN, RI — Schools in the North Kingstown School District have been reported safe mold free and safe for school to open according to reports from Vertex Inc.

Vertex Inc. tested samples at the district's eight schools after mold was found in the air at. Quidnessett Elementary School. The mold was caused by the recent humidity.

Superintendent Paul Auger sent out an update after test results from Vortex Inc. came in.
"I am pleased to report that Quidnessett Elementary has received a clean air quality report. Full access to the building will begin tomorrow (Thursday) morning," Auger said. "School will start as scheduled on September 4."
