North Kingstown Town Beach Closed to Swimming
Elevated bacteria counts prompted the closure.

The state Department of Health has recommended the closure of several beaches in Rhode Island due to high bacteria counts in the water.
North Kingstown Town Beach, Atlantic Beach Club in Middletown and Easton’s Beach in Newport are all closed to swimming.
Officials will continue to monitor water quality and will announce when the areas are safe for swimming once again.
