North Kingstown Wickford Little League Events for May
May is always a busy month for North Kingstown baseball. NKW Little League has a ton of events scheduled for this month.
Wow, the North Kingstown Wickford Little League season is off to a roaring start. I love going to the field and seeing rising stars on the AA field, games on the AAA and Majors fields, the concession stands open and tons of fans in the stands. This merger is working out tremendously and the product on the fields shows great promise for now and the future.
Picture Day, originally schedule for May 5th, has been moved to Saturday May 12th. We are finalizing the team schedule and your coaches will receive notification from the commissioners as to what time and place your team should meet for Picture Day. Registration forms are available at the photographer's table at Wilson Park. Check or credit card is accepted.
In 2017, our leagues joined together for our first Home Run Derby. It was a huge turnout and an incredible showing of home run power. This year we have more kids and even more potential for a great night of home run hitting. Come out to Wilson Park on Saturday May 19th, following the AAA game, for the 2018 North Kingstown Wickford Little League Home Run Derby. Derby will start around 3pm. All divisions are welcome to participate and cheer on the competitors.

The league and Coach Tom Pacia are working on a North Kingstown High School home game that NKW players will be invited to participate in. In our efforts to support our local NK high school team, as they have helped us, Coach Pacia and I have spoken at length about the great benefits of introducing our Little League rising stars to the high school level kids. Stay tuned for that announcement.
