North Kingstown Woman Admits To Drunken Driving In Fatal Crash
The 2019 crash killed Patricia Daniels, 46, of East Greenwich, and left three others injured.
NORTH KINGSTOWN, RI — A North Kingstown woman pleaded no contest in a drunken driving crash that killed an East Greenwich woman and injured the woman's boyfriend.
Barbara Trojan, 62, was convicted on July 15 of driving under the influence resulting in death and two counts of driving to endanger resulting in physical injury, the Providence Journal reported. Trojan will face four-nine years in prison and five years suspended with probation at her sentencing hearing on Sept. 27. She also faces two-four years of home confinement after she completes her prison term.
In September 2019, Patricia Daniels, 46, was killed in a two-car crash on Frenchtown Road in East Greenwich. The crash was caused when Trojan's car swerved into the opposite lane, hitting Daniels' car, forcing it to roll over.

Three other people were in Daniels' car at the time: Donna Daniels, of East Greenwich, Daniel's boyfriend Bruce Bartels, of North Kingstown, and Heather Lee of East Greenwich. All were injured, along with Trojan.
