North Youth Lacrosse Ready for Start of Season

North Kingstown Youth Lacrosse

NKYL begins their regular season games this Saturday and players couldn’t be more excited. Lucy Kaiser, third grade said, “I’m excited to finally hang out with my best buds from lax. I hope this year will be some great competition”. Five North teams have their season opener at Wilson Park and several other teams will be playing throughout the state. Fourth grader, Will Kornacki looks forward to the season every year. “I love playing with my friends, and the great events like Laxtravaganza, the food trucks and swag store”. NKYL has several special events throughout the year including tournaments, jamborees, and the special Laxtravaganza at the end of the season. The boys DI teams have been invited to play with a top ranking Massachusetts program next month. Returning DI state champion and eighth grader, Bodie Fish said “I am looking forward to having a great season with my classmates. Hopefully we can finish the year on top”. Fish and his team had an incredible 16-0 record last year and won the RI State title and North Classic LAX Tournament. Many of the middle school players appreciate the coaching they receive that prepares them for high school. Elizabeth Goulart, seventh grader said, “I love NK Lacrosse because I love the game and play on a team with my friends. I hope to one day play for the high school and NK Lacrosse will help me get ready”. Best of luck to the 240 players representing NKYL and GO NORTH!
