Obituary: Anita E. (Stafsholt) Stuard, 84

Anita E. Stuard, formerly Stafsholt, of North Kingstown died peacefully at her daughter's home on Wed., Jan. 16. She was 84 years old. She was wife of the late Gregory R.W. "Mike" Stuard.

Born in White Plains, NY, she was a daughter of the late Lester D. Stafsholt and Anna C. (Bekawich) Stafsholt. Stuard was a homemaker who enjoyed spending time with her family. 

She leaves her four children – Gregory R. W. Stuard, Jr. and his wife Laurie of North Kingstown, Patricia M. Scott and her husband Tom of North Kingstown, Mark S. Stuard and his wife Donna of North Providence, and Michael R. Stuard of North Providence. Cherished grandmother of Shane M. Stuard, Tory E. Groves, Stacey T. Scott, Thomas A. Scott, Jr., Tricia J. Stuard, and Scott M. Stuard. She was the sister of Dorothy Barnes of Lebenon, PA and the late Edward Stafsholt. 

Her funeral service will be held Wed., Jan. 23 at 11 a.m. in Cranston-Murphy Funeral Home at 140 West Main Street, Wickford Village, North Kingstown. Burial will follow in the RI Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Exeter. Relatives and friends are invited and may call at the funeral home from 10 to 11 a.m. prior the service.
