Obituary: Audrey B. (Whitman) Oliver, 97

Audrey B. (Whtman) Oliver of Wickford died peacefully at home surrounded by her family on Monday, July 23. She was 97 years old. She was the wife of the late Alfred W. Oliver and daughter of the late Atwood Whitman and Audrey (Barber) Whitman and Audrey (Barber) Whitman.

Originally from Providence, Oliver went on to become the owner of Wickford Mobil Station for many years. She was also a communicant of and served on the Altar Guild.

She leaves behind four children – Dennis G. Oliver of Oregon; Alfred W. Oliver, Jr. of New Hampshire; Nancy J. Oliver of Wickford and Wendy J. Bruce of Hope Valley. She also leaves behind six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. She was the sister of the late James Whitman and Vivian Fay.

A private funeral and burial will be held at the Rhode Island Veterans Memorial Cemetery. Calling hours are respectfully omitted.
