Obituary: Beverly I. Greene, 83

Beverly I. Greene, 83, passed away on Sunday, June 21, 2015 at Greenville
Nursing Center, surrounded by her loving family. She was the daughter of the late Fred and Gertrude H. (Crane) Greene. Beverly graduated from North Kingstown High School in 1950 and was employed as a Senior Bookkeeper for various area businesses, including Grossman’s, Stanley Bostitch, Ace Dying and Finishing and Majestic Motors.

Beverly was a strong, determined and elegant lady, with a gentle spirit and a loving nature. She dedicated her entire life to her family. She was a
professional-level seamstress and also enjoyed knitting and crocheting. The real pleasure of Beverly’s life was spending time with her children and
grandchildren.

Beverly is survived by her two devoted children, Debra A. (Greene) McClatchy and her husband, Andrew C. McClatchy, and David M. Greene and his wife, Barbara (Secor) Greene, all of North Kingstown. She was also the loving grandmother of five grandchildren: Travis and Tyler Greene, both of North Kingstown, and Paige, Lauren and Julia McClatchy, all of North Kingstown. She was the sister of the late Richard Raymond Greene.

Her Funeral Service will be held Friday, June 26, 2015 at 11:00 am in THE CRANSTON-MURPHY FUNERAL HOME of WICKFORD, 140 West Main St. North Kingstown. Burial will follow in East Greenwich Cemetery. Relatives and friends are invited and may call at the funeral home on Thursday from 5:00 – 7:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, gifts in her memory to The Alzheimer’s Association, 245 Waterman St # 306, Providence, RI 02906 will be appreciated.
