Obituary: C. Wayne Truitt, 80

The following information was provided by

C. Wayne Truitt of Kingston Road passed away Monday, July 9 at South County Nurshing & Rehabilitation Center at the age of 80. He was the husband of hte late Gloria A. (Forte) Truitt and a son of the late William B. and Laura E. (Kennerly) Truitt.

A retired medical technician, Truitt was a Navy veteran of the Korean War. HE was the beloved father of Michael A. Truitt, Denise M. D'Amore, Laurie A. Sprague, Robert J. Truitt and the late Thomas W. and John R. Truitt. He leaves behind siblings Dicky, Bill and Bunky Truitt and Patty Hammond. He was also brother to the late Shirley Shirlineer.

He is survived by 8 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren. He was the great grandfather of the late Ava V. Alfonso.

A private funeral service with military honors will be held at the RI Veterans Cemetery in Exeter.
