Obituary: Faye G. Smith, 85

Faye G. Smith (Goldsmith), 85, of North Kingstown, passed away peacefully April 24, 2015 surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of the late George E. Smith, Jr.; and mother of the late Winston Smith.

Faye’s career as a compassionate nurse spanned most of her lifetime.

She leaves three daughters, Suzanne Smith, Margaret Gauthier and Stephanie Williamson; seven grandchildren, Jaime Shearn Coan, John Padien, Holly Gauthier, Bradford Gauthier, Kelsey Faye Sawyer, Connor Williamson and Jansen Smith Williamson; and two great-grandchildren, Cameron and Mia Padien.

Her funeral service will be held Thursday, April 30, 2015 at 11am in St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, 55 Main Street, Wickford. Burial will follow in Elm Grove Cemetery, North Kingstown. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to the American Cancer Society will be appreciated.
