Obituary: Florence M. Hugues, 83

Florence M. Hugues of North Kingstown passed away Wednesday, Feb. 27. She was 83 years old. She was wife of the late Talton G. Hugues for 53 years.

Born in Uniondale on Long Island, NY, she was a daughter of the late Michael and Ethel (Arnold) Marino.

Hugues was a self-employed house cleaner before retiring. She enjoyed crocheting and counted cross stitching.

She leaves four daughters, Joanne Rollinson of East Greenwich, Deborah Noiseux of CA, Patricia Lewis and Virginia Elliott both of North Kingstown; a brother, Thomas Marino of Providence; a sister, Arlene Bradley of Coventry; five granddaughters and one grandson; one great-grandson and one great-granddaughter. She was the grandmother of the late Sheena Britt; and sister of the late Michael Marino.

A graveside service will be held Wednesday, March 6 at 10 a.m. in the RI Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 301 South County Trail, Exeter. Visiting hours Tuesday 5 to 8 p.m. in the Fagan-Quinn Funeral Home, 825 Boston Neck Road, North Kingstown.
