Obituary: Grace M. (Petrarca) Franklin, 87

Grace M. (Petrarca) Franklin, 87, of North Kingstown, died peacefully on Thursday, September 17, 2015 at South County Hospital. She was the wife of the late Clifton E. “Ben” Franklin. Born in Warwick, she was a daughter of the late Frank A. Petrarca, Sr. and Vincenza “Jenny” (Colizza) Petrarca

Mrs. Franklin was a homemaker and communicant of St. Bernard Church. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and friend to all who knew her.

She leaves her three loving daughters: Ann L. Collins and her husband James of Warwick, Marlene L. Franklin and her husband Joseph B. Patti of West Kingston, and Sandra L. Franklin and her fiancée Stephen Cohrs of North Kingstown. Cherished grandmother of Kerri A. Collins and her husband Ronald V. Susi, Jr. of Warwick and Kimberly L. Collins of Warwick. She was the sister of the late Antonio Petrarca, James Petrarca, Frank A. Petrarca, Jr., Ernest Petrarca, Anna Jorgensen, and Rachael Ledoux.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, September 22, 2015 at 10:00 am in St. Bernard Church, 275 Tower Hill Road, Wickford. Burial will follow in Quidnessett Memorial Cemetery. Relatives & friends are invited and may call on Monday from 4:00 to 7:00 pm in THE CRANSTON-MURPHY FUNERAL HOME of WICKFORD, 140 West Main Street, Wickford Village, North Kingstown.
