Obituary: Helen Sloan, 82

Helen T. (Albright) Sloan, a longtime resident of North Kingstown, passed awsay at home on Jan. 9. She was 82 years old. She was wife of the late Todd Sloan.

Born in Wyndmoor, PA, Sloan was a master gardener who was happiest in her yard and with her flowers. She volunteered at Kent County Hospital, took pride in her role as office manager for Pinkerton's Security at Quonset, and was a participant in the national women's health study. She was a good friend to all and loved her neighbors.

She was preceded in death by her son, Mike, and two brothers Bill and Bob Albright from Pennsylvania. She is survived by son Greg and his wife Robin, son Tom, daughter Cathy and her husband Rick Gallagher. She was the grandmother of Gabrielle and Nicole Sloan and Kevin Poore. Funeral service Monday at 11 a.m. in the Hill Funeral Home, 822 Main St, E. Greenwich. Burial will be in the RI Veterans Cemetery, Exeter.
