Obituary: James Michael Grennan, 56

James Michael Grennan of Glenwood Drive in North Kingstown passed away Saturday, April 27 at the Philip Hulitar Hospice Center in Providence. He was 56 years old.

He leaves behind his daughter, Wendy Grennan. He was son of Helen L. (Murphy) Grennan and the late Joseph J. Grennan, Sr. He is also survived by his brothers Joseph J. Grennan, Jr. and William P. Grennan.

Grennan was a policeman for the Providence Police Department, serving for 32 years. He was a member of the Providence Lodge No. 3 FOP, the Providence Police Association; and the Retired Police and Fire Association.

His funeral will held on Wednesday, May 1 at 8:30 a.m. from the Russell J. Boyle & Son Funeral Home, 142 Centerville Road, Warwick. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. in St. Francis de Sales Church, 381 School St. North Kingstown. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, West Greenwich.
