Obituary: James S. Turnbull III, 56

James S. Turnbull, III of North Kingstown died peacefully on June 22 at Philip Hulitar Hospice Center at the age of 56. Born in Tokyo, Japan, he was the loving son of Takaka (Furuta) Cunningham of Florida and the late James S. Turnbull, II. He leaves behind his wife Norma J. (Jarbeau) Turnbull.

Turnbull owned J.T. construction for many years and was a graduate of North Kingstown High School. Additionally, he was a communicant of St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Wickford. He enjoyed fishing, spending time with his family – and of course hanging out with his three dogs.

He also leaves behind four children – Crystal N. Jarbeau, Cherie R. Crandall, Raymond Picillo and Jaime S. Turnbull, all of North Kingstown. Additionally, he leaves behind two grandchildren – Caden J. Crandall and Alexis J. Jarbeau.

A memorial service is scheduled on Saturday, June 30 at 2 p.m. at . Family and friends are invited and may call from 1 to 2 p.m. prior to the service.
