Obituary: James T. Nelson, 58

James T. Nelson, 58, of North Kingstown, died peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family on Friday, July 31, 2015. He was the beloved husband of Wendy C. (Mora) Nelson. Born in Norwalk, CT, he was a son of Thomas E. Nelson and the late Marjorie A. (Auer) Nelson. He was the step-son to Priscilla Nelson.

Mr. Nelson was a metal worker for various businesses. He was a communicant of St. Francis de Sales Church and an avid gardener.

Besides his wife, he leaves his three loving children: Julia M. Nelson, Dr. William J. Nelson, and Amanda M. Nelson, all of North Kingstown. He was the brother of Wanda Nelson of Danbury, CT, Susan Nelson of New Milford, CT, Paul Nelson of New Milford, CT, Michael Nelson of Powdersville, SC and Sonya Pratt of Bethel, CT.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, August 5, 2015 at 11:00 am in St. Francis de Sales Church, 381 School Street, North Kingstown. Burial will follow in Quidnessett Memorial Cemetery. Relatives and friends are invited and may call on Tuesday from 4:00 to 7:00 pm in THE CRANSTON-MURPHY FUNERAL HOME of WICKFORD, 140 West Main Street, Wickford Village, North Kingstown. In lieu of flowers, gifts in his memory to South Kingstown Animal Shelter, 132 Asa Pond Rd, Wakefield, RI 02879, would be appreciated.
