Obituary: Leo Bourke, 65, Insurance Investigator

Leo F. Bourke, 65, of North Kingstown, died peacefully on Saturday, August 24, 2014 at South County Hospital.

Leo F. Bourke, 65, of North Kingstown, died peacefully on Saturday, August 24, 2014 at South County Hospital. He was the loving husband of Deborah L. (Caldwell) Bourke. Born in Boston, MA, on July 20th 1949, he was a son of the late Arthur R. Bourke and Dorothy (Hallet) Bourke. He was the brother of the late Arthur Bourke and James Bourke.

Leo was a self employed Insurance Investigator and worked independently on behalf of FEMA for many years. He was an avid sports fan as both a participant & spectator and was drafted by the then Kansas City Athletics as a pitcher for their farm team. He enjoyed the outdoors and spending time with his extended family and friends. Heaven will be a funnier happier place with Leo’s presence.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, September 13, 2014 at 10:00 am in St Paul’s Episcopal Church, 55 Main Street, Wickford. Calling hours are respectfully omitted. In lieu of flowers, gifts in his memory to Home & Hospice Care of RI, 1085 North Main Street, Providence, RI 02904 or to the Jimmy Fund, P.O. box 849168, Boston, MA 02284 will be appreciated. Arrangements have been entrusted to THE CRANSTON-MURPHY FUNERAL HOME of WICKFORD.
