Obituary: Leroy G. Matteson, 74, U.S. Marine Corps Veteran

Leroy G. Matteson, 74, of North Kingstown, died Monday, November 3, 2014 at Kent Hospital. Born in Wakefield, he was a son of the late Henry L. Matteson and Gladys M. (Harrington) Matteson.

Mr. Matteson worked as a driver for 38 years with Advanced Auto Parts of North Kingstown. He proudly served in the U.S. Marine Corps for six years.

He leaves his brother, Douglas S. Matteson and his wife Donna of North Kingstown, his nieces, Lori, Shani, Linda, Deanna, and 12 great and great-great nieces and nephews.

A Graveside Service with Military Honors will be held Monday, November 10, 2014 at 11:00 am in Elm Grove Cemetery, 954 Tower Hill Road, North Kingstown. Calling Hours will be held on Sunday from 4:00 to 7:00 pm in THE CRANSTON-MURPHY FUNERAL HOME of WICKFORD, 140 West Main Street, Wickford Village, North Kingstown.
