Obituary: Ruth N. (Robinson) Johnson, 91

Ruth N. Johnson, formerly Robinson, of North Kingstown passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 24 at South County Hospital. She was the wife of the late Charles H. Johnson, Sr.

Born in South Kingstown, she was the daughter of the late George Babcock and Freelove Robinson. 

Johnson was a homemaker who enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She also worked for the University of Rhode Island until her retirement. 

She leaves her daughter, Carol A. Harris of Providence. She was the mother of the late Howard E. Johnson, Sr., Charles H. Johnson, Jr., Barbara L. Houston, and Ronald T. Johnson. She was grandmother of 18 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren, and 10 great-great-grandchildren. She also leaves several nieces and nephews. 

Her funeral service will be held Thursday, March 28 at 11 a.m. at Cranston-Murphy Funeral Home, 140 West Main Street, Wickford Village, North Kingstown. Burial will follow in Elm Grove Cemetery, North Kingstown. Relatives and friends are invited and may call at the funeral home on Wednesday from 5 to 7 p.m.
