Obituary: Thomas 'Tuffy' Fitzpatrick, 56

Thomas M. Fitzpatrick, also known as "Tuffy," passed away on Monday, Dec. 10 surrounded by his family. He was 56 years old.

Tuffy leaves behind his wife of 30 years, Louise (O'Donnell) Fitzpatrick, and his two daughters – Denise C. Fitzpatrick of Alva, FL and Kellie A. Fitzpatrick of Apollo Beach, FL. He also leaves behind three granddaughters, his brother Daniel Fitzpatrick of Connecticut and his sister Kathy F. Rocha of Connecticut. He was brother of the late Michael U. Fitzpatrick. 

Born in Norwich, CT, he was the son of the late Thomas J. Fitzpatrick and Kathleen (Manning) Fitzpatrick. He was also the son-in-law of Louise O'Donnell.

Fitzpatrick was a seaman with the Merchant Marines until his retirement. He was owner of Fitz-Is "Doggin It." 

His funeral and burial will be private. Calling hours are respectfully omitted. In lieu of flowers, gifts in his memory to St. Jude's Children's Research or a charity of your choice will be appreciated.
