Obituary: Vena E. (Anderson) Rockwell, 100

Vena E. (Anderson) Rockwell, 100, of North Kingstown, died peacefully on Monday, March 3, 2014 at South Kingstown Nursing & Rehabilitation Center. She was the wife of the late Herbert R. Rockwell. Born in Ashland, Maine, she was a daughter of the late Charles Anderson and Elizabeth Rockwell. 

Mrs. Rockwell was a Homemaker who enjoyed spending time with her family. She was a member of the Slocum Grange and a former member of The First Baptist Church in North Kingstown. 

She leaves her three loving children: Peggy J. Browning, Wayne B. Rockwell, and Lorraine R. Jordan, all of North Kingstown. Cherished grandmother of 9 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren & 5 great-great-grandchildren. 

She was the sister of the late George Anderson, Donald Anderson, Beatrice Lyons, Bernice Chalou, Lillian Clark & Madeline Higgins. 

Her Funeral Service will be held Friday, March 7, 2014 at 12:00 pm in THE CRANSTON-MURPHY FUNERAL HOME of WICKFORD, 140 West Main Street, Wickford Village, North Kingstown. Burial will follow in Chestnut Hill Cemetery, Exeter. Relatives and friends are invited and may call from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm at the funeral home prior to the service. 

In lieu of flowers, gifts in her memory to The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, 1210 Pontiac Avenue, Cranston, RI 02920 will be appreciated.
