Walter W. Campbell, 88, of North Kingstown, passed away Thursday, September 18, 2014 at his home after a long illness.

Walter W. Campbell, 88, of North Kingstown, passed away Thursday, September 18, 2014 at his home after a long illness. He was the husband of Mildred A. (Howard) Campbell for fifty-one years.
Born in North Kingstown, he was a son of the late Donald and Gertrude (Worden) Campbell.
Mr. Campbell served in the Merchant Marines during WWII.

He worked at Electric Boat in Groton, CT for many years before retiring.
He enjoyed fishing and hunting; and was a HAM radio operator. He loved to talk about anything especially politics and baseball. He was an avid Boston Red Sox fan.

Besides his wife, he leaves a sister, Verna Campbell Bachelder of Hope Valley. He was the brother of the late Donald Stewart Campbell.
Visitation will be held Monday, September 22, 2014 from 10-11am followed by a funeral service at 11am in the FAGAN-QUINN Funeral Home, 825 Boston Neck Road, North Kingstown. Burial will follow in Elm Grove Cemetery, North Kingstown. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to Gentiva Hospice, 2374 Post Road, Warwick, RI 02886 will be appreciated.
