OPEN FARM DAY - THIS SUNDAY 1:00-4:00

Pot Belly Manor is celebrating 20 years of rescuing abused and unwanted animals with an Open Farm Day, Sunday 1:00-4:00.

Ever wonder what’s in back?

One of the happiest farms on the planet! Smith and Agli’s Pot Belly Manor on 104 Ten Rod Road, North Kingstown is hosting Open Farm Day this Sunday 1:00 - 4:00 to celebrate 20 years of rescue and caring for abused and unwanted animals. Liz Smith and Audrey Agli are a beacon of help in RI’s animal rescue community and have helped care for and find loving homes for over 1,000 animals over the last twenty years.

“We help animals of all types and of all shapes and sizes, our primary rescue being potbelly pigs of which it didn’t take us long to realize that they had become the most throwaway and disposable “pet” out there” explained Liz. Smith and Agli’s also participates in animal education programs with local schools and organizations, and visits nursing homes and spreads cheer through pet therapy. “We have been so blessed over the last 20 years to have so many wonderful and people and volunteers help us with our mission to care for these animals. We really want people to know more about the important work that we do, so we are hoping neighbors will come visit us on Sunday to meet our wonderful animals and their fun personalities that make our farm one of the more unique animal rescues in Rhode Island.”

We are always looking for volunteers to help with the animals and many capital projects around the farm. And have set up a GoFundMe page to help us continue our work. We are also accepting donations of used shoes and sneakers that we recycle to help pay for blankets, food, vet bills and all of the unpredictable expenses that can come up with our furry friends.

So come by, feed a pig... take a llama selfie and have fun this Sunday!  Hope to see you there.
