Phones Back Up in NK, Across Country

After nearly an entire day of phone blackouts, Cox Communications has announced that is has restored phone services to customers impacted by Tuesday's outage. 

The outage knocked out phone services to customers using the company's Cox Business VoiceManager service for businesses. It did not impact Internet or residential phone services. Most of New England and other parts of the country (including the Midwest) were hit by the outage. Among the customers without phone services Tuesday was North Kingstown's town offices and schools.

Though the phones are back online, Cox warns that they are continuing to test the system which will cause intermittent service and technical issue.
