Police Warn Repeat Sex Offender May Be Staying in North Kingstown
The Coventry police shared a notification about Richard Giles, who has in the past stayed in North Kingstown and failed to register.

NORTH KINGSTOWN, RI—Richard Giles is wanted in Cranston for failing to register as a sex offender. West Warwick police put out the public notification, and the Coventry police circulated it, too. According to the post, Giles, who goes by the name "Derek," is a Level III offender, which is the highest level.
"Giles has three outstanding Superior Court bench warrants and an affidavit arrest warrant from the Cranston Police, all for failure to register as a sex offender. Giles frequents the Arctic area of West Warwick and may also be staying in North Kingstown. He is a repeat sex offender with convictions of 1st degree sexual assault in 1999 and then again in 2014. He also has several arrests between those years for failing to register.
