Providence Woman Jailed On Weapon And Coke Charges: Cops
The Providence woman was arrested during a traffic stop, police said.
NORTH KINGSTOWN, RI — A Providence woman was jailed on weapon and cocaine charges, police said.
Amber Avila, 38, was arrested during a 3 p.m. Sunday traffic stop on Route 4 in North Kingstown, the Rhode Island State Police said in a media release.
Avila was arrested on charges of possession of cocaine, weapons other than firearms prohibited, and driving with a suspended, revoked or cancelled license, the release said.

Avila was processed at the Wickford Barracks and taken to the Adult Correctional Institution — Women's Intake pending a morning arraignment, according to the release.
