Rep. Costa Appointed to RI Commission on Women

Commission members play an advocacy role on matters concerning the status of women in Rhode Island.

Representative Doreen Costa (R- District 31, North Kingstown, Exeter) has been appointed to the state’s Commission on Women. Commission members play an advocacy role on matters concerning the status of women in Rhode Island.

“I am honored to join this vibrant group of 25 women and extend my appreciation to Speaker Mattiello for this appointment,” Costa said in a statement. “As one of six appointees from the general assembly and one of three legislators from the House of Representatives, I look forward to representing my constituents and small business to improve our economy and to take a close look at all of the moving parts that help or hinder women in the workplace.”

The commission is a 25 member commission that began in 1970.
