RI AAU Baseball Tryouts for the 2017-18 Season Underway

Check your local AAU team tryout schedule for your son or daughter's age division.

According to their official website, www.aausports.org, "The AAU was founded in 1888 to establish standards and uniformity in amateur sports. During its early years, the AAU served as a leader in international sport representing the U.S. in the international sports federations. The AAU worked closely with the Olympic movement to prepare athletes for the Olympic games. After the Amateur Sports Act of 1978, the AAU has focused its efforts into providing sports programs for all participants of all ages beginning at the grass roots level. The philosophy of "Sports for All, Forever," is shared by approx. 700,000 participants and over 150,000 volunteers."

If you are interested in information or possibly trying out for an AAU travel baseball team here in RI, there is a New England specific website of the AAU which is www.neaau.org. These travel teams play a ton of competitive games against some of the best baseball talent not only in RI, but New England and beyond. If you have a motivated rising star baseball player, AAU travel teams are a great way to improve their pitching, catching, fielding, hitting, and overall baseball skills as you approach middle school, high school, and even college programs.

Here are a few websites I found via Google on Rhode Island based AAU and other local travel teams:
