RI Baseball's State District Tournaments Results

At the conclusion of the regular season of Little League, age specific district tournaments take place throughout the state.

Rhode Island Little League is comprised of 4 districts which represent every town and corner of Rhode Island. Each district has a District Administrator and staff which oversee the entire district of teams, while each town or city's league has its own President and executive board to manage and maintain each town or city's league. There is a ton of coordination, hours of operation, and hard work that goes into each league and each district every year to make sure that Little League Baseball is running on all cylinders. Thank you to all the volunteers who put their personal time and incredible effort into making sure the youth of Rhode Island have a quality program to be a part of.

Every summer, following the completion of the regular spring season, the individual towns and cities select players from their league to participate in District tournaments based on age. There are U10, U11, and U12 teams that compete against each other in their district. Then for some, for the right to be crowned State of Rhode Island Baseball Champion. First, here is a breakdown on the teams for each District 1 through 4:

District 1 - Cranston West, Cranston East, North Providence East, Elmwood, Mount Pleasant, North Providence West, Fox Point, Johnston, Silver Lake

District 2 - Bristol, Middletown, Tiverton, Darlington, Rumford, Barrington, Portsmouth, Riverside, Newport, East Providence, Pineview, Warren, Fairlawn

District 3 - Coventry, Chariho, Exeter/West Greenwich, North Kingstown, Wickford, East Greenwich, Narragansett, Warwick Continental, Warwick North, Warwick American, Westerly, South Kingstown American, South Kingstown National

District 4 - Burrillville, Cumberland American/National, Gloucester, Lincoln, North Smithfield, Scituate/ Foster, Smithfield, Woonsocket

Here is a list of the winners from this year's District Tournaments and Statewide Tournaments.

U10: District 1 - Cranston West; District 2 - Barrington; District 3 - Coventry; District 4 - Cumberland

U10 State Champion - Barrington Little League*

U11: District 1 - Cranston West; District 2 - Portsmouth; District 3 - East Greenwich; District 4 - Lincoln

U12: District 1 - Cranston West; District 2 - Riverside; District 3 - South Kingstown; District 4 - Cumberland

U12 State Champion - Cumberland American Little League**

*Barrington will play in the 9-10 East Regional Tournament in Cranston starting August 4th

**Cumberland will play in the Regional Tournament in Bristol, CT beginning August 6th for the right to go to the Little League World Series in Williamsport, PA
