Today's top story
Rhode Island State Police identified the three people killed in a fiery crash Tuesday on Interstate 95 in West Warwick.
State Police said the crash victims were driver Brandon Verrocchio, 23, of West Greenwich and passengers Gianni Guerrieri, 22, of West Greenwich and Alex Banner, 21, of Exeter. Guerrieri in September 2016 was hailed a hero for rescuing a woman from a burning car.

Tuesday's crash happened just before 2 a.m., just south of Exit 8. All three people were in the same car, which veered off the road into the grass median. It then hit a tree and burst into flames, police said.
