Seeking Volunteers at South County Community Action Food Program
SCCAA's site at 415 Tower Hill Road hosts food distribution from 1 to 3 p.m. on the first and third Thursdays of every month.

NORTH KINGSTOWN – South County Community Action Agency is seeking volunteers who can make ongoing commitments to support its food distribution program, recently relocated to 415 Tower Hill Road.
“What we’re hoping to get are able-bodied individuals who can lend their efforts beyond just a one-time opportunity,” explained President and CEO Joseph DeSantis. “Our food distribution program is helping more and more local families, and that means we need more volunteers to respond to that need.”
Volunteers will be interviewed by South County Community Action staff and be required to undergo criminal background check to participate, DeSantis said, adding that SCCAA will cover any costs for the reviews.
