Skippers Take on Avengers Friday Night
The North Kingstown girls' field hockey team starts defending its state crown at 7 p.m. tonight, but East Greenwich hopes to be the spoiler.
NORTH KINGSTOWN, RI -- The Skippers (13-1-2) girls' field hockey team will defend its state crown tonight in the Rhode Island Interscholastic League tournament.
Head Coach Julie Maguire's team had a bye in the first round, but it's back to business tonight when the Skips head into the semifinal match. They're pitted against the East Greenwich Avengers (10-5-1).
