Smell Of Gas Prompts Another DMS Evacuation

Davisville Middle School was evacuated Friday morning for the second time this month.

students and staff were once again evacuated Friday morning following a report of a smell of gas in the cafeteria area. Students were evacuated from the building and National Grid and the were called to the school for an inspection.

Staff and students returned this morning after the area was deemed clear. This is the second time this month that the smell of gas has been reported in the cafeteria area and the school has been evacuated. According to an email sent out by the North Kingstown School Department, officials will be conducting an inspection of the gas  equipment to "confirm proper operation."

Saturday's will be moved from DMS to the as a precaution.
