RECREATION RAIN/SNOW LINE 268-1543

GIRLS LITTLE LEAGUE Age cutoff is January 1st. If a player turns 13 after January 1st this year she is considered 12. These leagues are comprised of teams from North Kingstown and East Greenwich. There four leagues for the Girls: Little League Majors is for ages 9 to 12.

  • Minor League for 8-11 year olds is also available for those new to the sport or those who may not feel ready to play in the Majors.

  • Coach Pitch for 6 to 8 year olds who want to get started.

  • Regional Town Play for the 13 to 16 olds.

SPRING TRACK PROGRAM NKHS TRACK/TENNIS COURTS. WEDNESDAYS 6:30-7:30 PM. APRIL 24-JUNE 7. (NO TRACK ON 5/15)

NK RECREATION & ARTS COUNCIL DRAMATICS PROGRAM based to introduce students to basic acting techniques including voice, body and facial expressions as well as body limbering and stretching. This year’s performance is “Into The Woods Jr”

“BUSY BODIES” PRE-SCHOOL COLD SPRING COMMUNITY CENTER.

THIS IS A WEEKLY DEVELOPMENTAL GYM AND SOCIALIZATION CLASS FOR CHILDREN AGES 18 MONTHS – 5 YEARS.

SESSIONS VARY BY AGE. EMAIL mcroteau2@verizon.net TO BE ON THE DISTRIBUTION LIST FOR THE CLASSES. CLASSES RUN ALL YEAR.

AFTER WORK EXERCISE CLASS COLD SPRING COMMUNITY CENTER.

MOST MONDAY NIGHTS, 5:30-6:30 PM. WORK OUT CLASS THAT INCLUDES STRETCHING, WEIGHTLIFTING, DANCING, CARDIO AND STRESS RELIEF. CALL PAT FOR MORE INFO. 294-1613

SPRING TENNIS CAMP. Held at the High School on Saturdays 9-11am for all experience levels starting on April 22 & 29 May 13 & 20 for ages 6-16

*North Kingstown Fireworks will be July 1 at dark. Lafayette Band will begin at 7pm

*Tuesday Night Summer Concert Series will begin on June 6 with Brass Attack and Thursday Children’s Concerts on June 29

TEEN EXTREME 2017 Boys and Girls, ages 12, 13 & 14 (Age on first day of camp). Three separate weeks of high action activities July 10-14, July 24-28, July 7-11

PLAYGROUNDS 2017 Our Summer Playgrounds Program is for ages 6-13 and will begin June 26-August 18, 2017 Monday through Friday from 9am-4pm. This year we are doing an Extended Morning Care Program at Wilson Park from 8-9am and providing transportation to the specified camp from there.

SUMMER CAMP SIGN UP in person registration for Teen X and Playgrounds at 100 Fairway Drive, North Kingstown RI on May 7: 2-6pm & May 13: 9a-2pm

A NEW SIX WEEK SERIES FOCUSSED ON VINYASA FLOW, CONNECTING BREATH WITH MOVEMENT AND OTHER GREAT HEALTH BENEFITS

MISSOULA For twenty wonderful years The North Kingstown Recreation Department has been given the opportunity to experience our children performing with the Missoula Children’s Theatre. Up to sixty boys and girls were chosen to perform in a variety of plays. The audition this year will be held 8/14 followed by rehearsals 8/15-8/18 and the performance held on 8/19. This year we will perform “Beauty Lou and the County Beast?”.

BABYSITTING & HOME ALONE CLASSES WILL BE HELD IN EARLY SUMMER TIMES AND DATES TBD

HELD AT THE COLD SPRING COMMUNITY CENTER. PRE-REGISTRATION REQUIRED.
