“This was a great opportunity for students to experience journalism and broadcasting on a small scale, and helps to make students shareholders in the success and promotion of their school,” the report states.
The school’s success can be measured in some of the top standardized test scores in the state. But it goes beyond that. There’s wireless Internet in the school, five desktop computers in every classroom, portable iPad carts and laptops and a large nature trail “traverses the rear property line and gardens hug one side of the building where students can experience horticulture first hand.”
The school’s literacy tutor, incentive based reading program and scholarship programs were also noted in the report.
