WellOne's Chief Medical Officer Awarded Clinical Leadership Award
Healthcare provider garners Clinical Leadership Award

WELLONE CLINICIAN RECEIVES CLINICAL LEADERSHIP AWARD
Andrea Marcotte, MSN, FNP, GNP, WellOne Primary Medical and Dental Care’s Chief Medical Officer and Vice President, was awarded the Clinical Leadership Award from the Rhode Island Health Center Association (RIHCA) at their recent annual meeting.
The award is presented annually to a health center clinician who best demonstrates continued clinical excellence and professional development, innovation in practice or policies, and leadership in areas that benefit their organization or the system of care.

In presenting the award, Jane Hayward, RIHCA’s president and CEO, applauded Marcotte for her commitment to community health. Joined by Brenda Dowlatshahi, RICHA’s board chair, Hayward stated, “She has been a champion of evidence-based, high quality, and accessible health care. She has a strong understanding of the business of health care and has been successful in achieving clinical excellence while navigating and enabling WellOne to thrive in a continuously evolving environment.”
Ms. Marcotte received her degree in Adult and Geriatrics from Simmons College and later Family certification from George Washington University. More recently, Andrea received certification as an Electronic Health Record Professional and successfully completed a leadership program at the Harvard School of Public Health..

In addition to her role as Chief Medical Officer at WellOne, Ms. Marcotte also has served as the Chair of RIHCA’s Clinical Leadership Committee for the past three years. She has also served as the Board Chair for the Northern Rhode Island AHEC and was a past recipient of the Rhode Island Department of Health’s “Rural Champion Award.”
