So what's on the menu for the first day of school? You have four options:
- Popcorn chicken with mashed potatoes, broccoli and fruit salad, or
- Turkey sub, or
- Salad with string cheese or
- Sunny butter with jelly sandwich.
Most elementary schools recommend sending your child off with a midday snack as well as lunch money or a bag lunch.
Supplies|Â School officials recommend bringing standard supplies (backpack, notebooks, writing utensils, etc.) Specified supply lists will be distributed by teachers on the first day of school.
(General supply list. Students will receive a specified supply list from their respective teams during the first week of school)
- 6th grade: $4.75 (for school combination lock; to be used through their eighth grade year), pens (blue and black), pencils with top erasers, small hand-held sharpener, colored pencils, soft pencil case, two to three colored highlighters, loose-leaf paper (college-ruled), ruler (preferably plastic), disinfectant wipes, box of tissues.
- 7th grade: two 1-inch binders, one 3-inch binder, loose-leaf paper, pocket folders, dividers for binders, one composition notebook, pens/pencils/erasers, one package of highlighters, one package of colored pencils, glue stick, protractor, ruler, 1/4-inch graph paper, one package of mechanical pencils, calculator (with square root function), box of tissues.
- 8th grade: highlighters, pens, pencils, erasers, pocket folders, one box of tissues.

- Kindergarten/1st grade: will receive supply lists at orientation
- 2nd grade: plastic pencil box, box of dry-erase markers (black), large glue sticks, student-size scissors, 3-by-3 yellow sticky notes, colored pencils, hand-held pencil sharpener, Crayola markets (thin & thick).
- 3rd grade: pencils, hand-held pencil sharpener, crayons, glue sticks, washable markers, homework assignment notebook, Post-It notes, marble-covered composition notebook, tissues, whiteboard markers, disinfecting wipes.
- 4th grade: glue stick, box of #2 pencils, box of dry erase markers, box of crayons, highlighter, package of fine-line black markers. (For Mrs. McEwen's class: one extra long pencil box, approx. 12 inches by five inches. For Mrs. Dowiot's class: one pencil box, approx eight inches by five inches.)
- 5th grade: sharpened #2 pencils, two erasers, one small pencil sharpener, two black ink pens (erasable), one large 1.3 oz. glue stick, one highlighter, one marble-covered composition notebook, one pair student scissors, one pencil box (no larger than nine-by-six inches).
- 1st grade: box of tissues, box of unscented baby wipes, two glue sticks, two pocket folders (one red and one blue), two boxes of pencils, one box of crayons (eight-color pack).
- 2nd grade: one pack of sharpened #2 pencils, four glue sticks, 24-pack of crayons, 12-pack of colored pencils, one box of tissues, one large round container of antibacterial wipes, silent reading book, one plastic pencil box, pair of child-size scissors, one marble cover composition notebook.
- 3rd grade: 24-pack of colored pencils, 24-pack of crayons, 12 glue sticks, one box of tissues, one large container of antibacterial wipes, five packs of 12 #2 pencils, three marble composition notebooks, one junior size scissors, 10 pencils w/ top erasers, one plastic pencil box, three Expo thin dry-erase markers, one dry erase eraser, one yellow highlighter.
- 4th grade: two glue sticks, #2 pencils, erasers, one small pair of dull-pointed scissors, one ruler with centimeter and inch markings, highlighters, one 24-pack of colored pencils, one small pencil container, two Expo dry-erase markers and eraser, six different colored pocket folders, four single (different colored) spiral notebooks (wide ruled), one three-subject notebook, one five-subject notebook, two boxes of tissues, two containers of antibacterial wipes.
- 5th grade: four dry erase markers, pencils, pencil box or zipped pouch, four glue sticks, three one-subject notebooks (wide ruled, different colors), two pocket folders, ruler, colored pencils, pencils with erasers, scissors, box of tissues, anti-bacterial wipes.
- Kindergarten: one folder-sized backpack, one folder with pockets, one pencil box (for Mrs. Demos' class only), one 24-pack of crayons, one healthy snack each day, one 12-pack of Ticonderoga pencils, one container of Clorox wipes, one container of anti-bacterial hand wipes, one roll of paper towels, one can of Lysol spray (morning only), one box of tissues (afternoon only), one package of thin back dry-erase markers.
- 1st grade: one two-pocket folder, one crayon/pencil box, two boxes of crayons (one 24-pack and one pack of eight basic colors), one white board eraser, one large rectangular (hand-held) pencil eraser, one small package of pencil top erasers, two 12-packs of Ticonderoga pencils, four glue sticks, one large classroom-size box of tissues, three thin black dry-erase markers, one large (200+ count) refill package of unscented baby/hand wipes.
- 2nd grade: two boxes of #2 Ticonderoga pencils, small pencil sharpener, one 24-pack of crayons, six large glue sticks, one highlighter, one pocket folder, eight thin (black) dry-erase markers, erase for dry-erase board, pencil box, one pink pearl eraser, box of tissues, one container of wipes, one bottle of hand sanitizer.
- 3rd grade: several #2 pencils, scissors, small box of colored pencils, three glue sticks, one yellow highlighter, two to four plain pocket folders, pencil eraser, eraser for dry erase board, one marble-covered composition notebook, two or more dry erase markers, two boxes of tissues, standard/metric ruler, pencil box, two large book sock covers, two container of antibacterial wipes (one for surfaces and one for hands).
- 4th grade: pencil sharpener, colored pencils, two giant glue sticks, two 12-packs of #2 pencils, one 12-pack of #2 mechanical pencil, extra good eraser, scissors, dry-erase markers, box of tissues, container of wipes, hard supply box, pencil pouch.
- 5th grade: #2 pencils/mechanical pencils, small (hand-held) pencil sharpener, erasers, one blue ink pen, one red ink pen, colored pencils, one 24-pack of crayons, two highlighters, three glue sticks, standard/metric ruler, small scissors, Post-It notes, Expo markers (thin), white board eraser, four pocket folders (one of each - yellow, red, green and blue), composition notebook, large box of tissues, disinfectant wipes.
