Whiz Kid: Kai Colucci
Kai Colucci's musical talents is leaving fellow musicians and teachers speechless.

- Accomplishment: Kai has been chosen for the All-State Jazz Ensemble (Junior or Senior) as a drummer in four of the last five years, finishing first four times and second for the fifth. He has made All-State Band or Orchestra 7th through 12th grades and was recently selected to participate in the All-Eastern Orchestra at the National Association of Music Educators- Eastern division conference in Baltimore March 31 April 3. Additionally, he received a Judge’s Choice Award at the 2011 Berklee High School Jazz Festival in Boston for his drumming.
- Key To Awesomeness: Kai's raw musical talent is clearly a pivotal factor in his success, but his awesomeness goes far beyond just that. Teachers say he is a student who is always willing to help his classmates and never forgets that he is part of an ensemble. He's known for staying late after practice and comes early to help others with their music parts. He is a leader amongst his peers in leading sections and was instrumental (no pun intended) in helping put on the recent at the high school.
