Woman Facing Charges In Fatal North Kingstown Crash
Stephanie Briggs, 57, was arraigned Tuesday and charged with driving to endanger resulting in death.
NORTH KINGSTOWN, RI — A Wakefield woman was arrested in connection to a fatal crash in North Kingstown that happened in August.
Stephanie Briggs, 57, was arraigned Tuesday and charged with driving to endanger resulting in death.
The crash happened at 11:30 a.m, Aug. 10, on South County Trail at the intersection of Dry Bridge Road. Police said a dark gray PT cruiser and a white Buick LaCrosse were involved in a head-on collision.

Police said one person was in each car: a Briggs and Leah Ribner Martin, 20, of North Kingstown. Police said Martin was pronounced dead at the scene, while Briggs was taken to Rhode Island Hospital in Providence.
An investigation was conducted by members of the North Kingstown Police Crash Reconstruction Unit and the Detective Division. It resulted in a warrant being issued for Briggs.

Briggs was ordered held on $10,000 bail with surety.
