• MA Man Charged With Obtaining Property By False Pretenses Nabbed: RISP (patch.com) — State police say a Massachusetts man wanted on fraud-related charges was pulled over and arrested on Mineral Spring Avenue in North Providence, then processed at the Lincoln Woods Barracks. The charges involve obtaining property by false pretenses and fraudulent use of credit cards tied to state police and Cranston cases, with the suspect later turned over to Cranston police.
   

• Storm leaves damage, power outages across Rhode Island (wpri.com) — A weekend nor'easter knocked down trees, flooded streets, and cut power across Rhode Island, including a large tree that crashed onto two cars outside a North Providence home but spared the house and family. Crews are still restoring electricity, and Pawtucket's Shea High School is closed Monday for water damage cleanup, so residents should expect ongoing recovery work and some disruptions.
