• Providence Water hosts Centennial celebration (turnto10.com) — North Providence residents rely on Providence Water's system, which just marked 100 years of continuous service at the Philip J. Holton Water Purification Works. At a centennial ceremony attended by North Providence Mayor Charles Lombardi and other officials, speakers highlighted the Scituate Reservoir's role in supplying 60 million gallons of clean water daily and called for continued investment to keep the system strong.
   

• A CHRISTMAS CAROL Casts Mauro Hantman as Scrooge for Trinity Rep's 50th (broadwayworld.com) — A young performer from North Providence, Coleman Luse, has been cast in Trinity Rep's 50th anniversary production of A Christmas Carol, running in Providence from early November through December.
