RISP Investigate Pawtucket Man, Make Assault Arrest: Cops

PAWTUCKET, RI — A Pawtucket man was investigated by two Rhode Island State Police groups and arrested on an assault charge, police said.

Raymond Caballero, 26, was taken into custody about 5:30 a.m. Tuesday, the state police said in a media release.

Caballero was the subject of an investigation by the state police Special Victims Unit and Auto Theft Task Force, and was arrested by the Auto Theft Task Force, Adult Correctional Institutions Investigations Unit and the Intelligence Unit, according to the release.

Caballero was processed at state police headquarters, later arraigned and issued $1,000 surety bail, the release said.
