The Portsmouth Free Public Library will host their annual fund-raising social event, the 2013 "Tasting kin Portsmouth" on Friday, 18 October from 7-9 PM. Join your friends and neighbors at this always fun event and enjoy beer, wine and restaurant from our local business establishments. My personal favorite is the Fish Chowder from the Melville but you can also sample pizzas from our local pizzerias, and delicious food from Clement's Market and local restaurants. You can accompany this with a glass of wine from Portsmouth's own Greenvale Vineyards (I heartily recommend the "Skipping Stone White," our 375th label wine) and sample other beers and wines from our local stores. Â
This is a great opportunity to help a good cause while sampling local cuisine and enjoying a sociable evening. There will be a 50/50 raffle and a silent auction with a Live auction beginning at 8:30 PM. Tickets are $20 for Library Association members and $25 for non-members.Â
