While these are okay in moderation, they can add up to be a lot of calories and contribute to an unhealthy lifestyle. Here are 7 tips to enjoy the season and keep healthy!
1. Take a long nature walk with your family. The foliage is beautiful this time of year so enjoy it and get your exercise, too.

2. Choose a baked apple with cinnamon over the apple pie and halloween candy. There's plenty of nutrients and only 50-80 calories per snack!
3. Instead of watching re-runs of halloween specials, take your kids to a haunted corn maze or pick a pumpkin. This will still be as thrilling for the kiddies and it gets you off the couch.

4. Take your kids trick or treating in neighborhoods with larger gaps between houses. Your getting a brisk walk in and not stocking up on a years worth of candy!
5. Trade that pumpkin spice martini in for some cinnamon tea with organic honey. Martini's can be delightful but are chalk full of sugar and calories. Give your liver a break and pump up your digestive system.
6. Don't put away that bike just yet. Now that's the summer mugginess is gone, a brisk bike ride will be much more enjoyable.Â
