North Kingstown defeated Portsmouth 2-0 Monday night, but it was another game the Patriots could have won. They had several chances in the first half, hitting the post and crossbar, but failed to find the back of the net.
They remain in 2nd place in Division 1 East with an 8-4-2 record, behind Shea which stands at 9-2-3.
Portsmouth hosts Bishop Hendricken Thursday at 7 p.m.
