Caitlin Villareal Becomes First Abbey Student to Score 200 Goals in Lacrosse
Caitlin will play for St. Anselm's College in the fall.

Sixth Former Caitlin Villareal scored her 199th and 200th goals within the first minute-and-a-half of the girls' varsity lacrosse game against Concord Academy on Friday, April 13, becoming the first student to reach 200 career goals in lacrosse.
The Ravens went on to beat Concord, 15-1, with Caitlin contributing three goals and one assist. Following two strong wins against Winsor on the 14th and St. George's on the 16th, in which she netted seven and eight goals, respectively, Caitlin now has an impressive 216 career goals. She reached the initial milestone of 100 goals early in the 2011 season, and last summer US Lacrosse, the sport's national governing body, named Caitlin a 2011 High School Underclassmen All-American and a 2011 US Lacrosse Academic All-American. She was also selected to represent the New England region in the 2011 National Lacrosse Classic.
Girls' varsity lacrosse coach Kate Reardon said of Caitlin: "She is a talented and competitive player with an excellent scoring touch. Caitlin is a leader on the field, both in her actions and her ability to communicate with teammates during play. She loves the sport and clearly demonstrates good understanding of it."
Ravens Athletic Director Al Brown added, "Caitlin is a true student-athlete. She excels in the classroom and on the field. Her skill, passion, and leadership have been a big part of our success in girls' lacrosse."Â
