HUNTING!

Whether in Africa hunting for elephants or in Portsmouth for coyotes I am aghast at the obsession of males in particular for the need to kill other species!

What is it about human nature and behavior that creates a thirst for blood, a surge in adrenalin at the thought of eliminating other species?  Facebook has provided ample access to the atrocities of our species, the Homo sapiens.  It is not "tradition" anymore when you see not only poaching, but sheer cruelty and proud smiley hunter standing over their prey.  Just hope the "Patch" is amenable to raising the topics up a notch as I see little interest on the part of Rhode Island papers to atone for our behavior against our ecology and other species without regard to their right to exist!
