Portsmouth 375th Steering Committee Information Desk at Clement's on Sunday
Learn about Next Year's Events at the 375th Information Desk in Clement's Market
Want to know whats being planned for Portsmouth's 375th Anniversary next year? Interested in helping out with the celebration? The Portsmouth 375th Steering Committee will be manning an information desk at the entrance to Clement's Market on the next two Sundays from 10 AM to 2 PM (Not 10-12 as I indicate in the video above). Stop by and meet your friends and neighbors who are planning and organizing events and celebrations throughout 2013, the 375th Anniversary of the Founding of Portsmouth in 1638.
You can support their efforts by buying the 375th T-shirt and Bumper Stickers and also by signing up as a volunteer, supporter or event participant. The first 375th Event will be the Polar Dive for 375 at noon on Tuesday, 1 January (New Years Day). The group is trying to get 375 hearty souls to join the group on the beach at Island Park for New Year's dip, with coffee and donuts following at The Beach House Restaurant. You can check out the other list of events currently being planned on the group's website at www.portsmouthri375.com
Stop by and make your own suggestions for events - the 375th Steering Committee meets every other Thursday at 5 PM at the Portsmouth Free Library. The next scheduled meeting is 29 November - all meetings are open to the public.
