Portsmouth Abbey Students Honored With Art Awards

Portsmouth Abbey student will compete in national competition in New York.

Five students were recently honored in the Rhode Island division of the Scholastic Art and Writing Awards for excellence in visual arts.

  • Carly Augustis-Kokoni '12 received a Silver Key for her digital composite photograph "Jelly Fish."
  • Sean McDonough '14 was awarded a Silver Key for his photograph "Vortex."
  • Katherine Rodrock '12 won a Silver Key for her acrylic painting "Wonders Above."
  • Jack Young '12 was presented with a Silver Key for his oil painting "Dream Scape."
  • Chris Brown '12 received a Gold Key for his tea set. His work will now be submitted to the National Scholastic Art Awards in New York in June.
