Portsmouth Boys' Soccer Team Suffers First Loss
The Patriots fall short in Barrington Tuesday, letting a one point halftime lead slip away and drop to 4-1.
The boys' varsity soccer team lost 2-1 Tuesday in Barrington.
Portsmouth dominated the first half, and into the second, but some mistakes cost them a pair of goals. Shane Callahan put the team up 1-0 in the first half, and took that score into the break. The Patriots were playing without three starting seniors in the lineup and that seemed to take a tollÂ
Portsmouth remains in first place in the division however, one point ahead of Barrington. The teams will meet again to play a game in Portsmouth which was rained out earlier in the season.
